MP Is Launching its 2014 Corrosion Innovation Awards Program We invite individuals, companies, organizations, and government agencies worldwide to submit nominations for MP's 2014 Corrosion Innovation of the Year Awards. Nominations will be accepted starting July 15, 2013. Corrosion continues to affect our world's critical infrastructure and currently costs society an estimated US$2.2 trillion annually from degradation and damage to buildings, equipment, transportation systems, energy production and distribution components, and other critical systems. The application of corrosion control technologies could save more than US$660 billion. The MP Corrosion Innovation of the Year Awards showcase progressive technological developments in all aspects of corrosion prevention and mitigation and recognize the innovators who have created revolutionary solutions to combat corrosion and protect vital assets from its damaging effects. The top corrosion-control innovations will be chosen by a panel of leading corrosion experts and announced at CORROSION 2014 in San Antonio, Texas.
