Consisting of two guided stops, the Bayou Bienvenue and the site of the levee breaches on Industrial Canal, the tour provides the opportunity to get a first-hand look at these unique locations and their devastating histories and hopeful futures. Topics of discussion will focus on environmental impacts and lessons-learned, detailing a variety of locations, including the Bayou Bienvenue Wetland Triangle, Industrial Canal (site of the levee breaches during Hurricane Katrina), the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, and others. Admission to this interactive and educational tour is $10 and can be purchased during the process of your registration.
