U.S. Water Names New CEO LaMarr Barnes Integrated industrial water management company U.S. Water Services (St. Michael, Minnesota), an ALLETE (Duluth, Minne- sota) company, named LaMarr Barnes as its new CEO. Barnes replaces former CEO Allan Bly, who resigned his position after a 20-year career with the company. Barnes has more than 25 years of experience in industrial water treat- ment and technology management. Hired in 2010 as vice president of marketing, Barnes—known as an expert in plant oper- ations and integrated water treatment program applications—assumed added responsibilities as vice president of mar- keting and business development. He was named senior executive vice president of marketing and strategy in 2015. Sauereisen Promotes Bankert to Vice President Maureen E. Bankert Sauereisen (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), a global manufac- turer of protec- tive linings, coatings, and ceramic com- pounds for industrial users, promoted Maureen E. Bankert to vice president of finance. In that role, Bankert will direct all accounting functions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and manage the company's finance department. Bankert first joined Sauerei- sen in December 2000 as accounting man- ager, and was promoted to the role of con- troller in February 2013. "Maureen has exhibited outstanding leadership, compe- tency, work ethic, and belief in our com- pany throughout her career," says Eric Sauereisen, president at the company. "She has always gone the extra mile.
