A family business with a 200 year pedigree NACE since 1947 1962 The company is renamed Elcometer Instruments Limited. 1978 Elcometer is awarded The Queen's Award for Export. 1990 Elcometer is awarded the Queen's Award for Technology. 2007 Elcometer opens its new UK Global Headquarters, doubling the factory space at the same time. Elcometer purchases a concrete inspection equipment manufacturer & a physical test equipment company and opens an office in France. 2011 Elcometer purchase an ultrasonic NDT corrosion thickness and flaw detectors company in the USA. 2014 The Manchester site is extended with the addition of 6700m 2 (22,000 sq ft) purpose built machine shop. 2016 Elcometer purchase Blastline Limited who design and manufacture portable blast machines. 2003 Elcometer open an office in Tokyo, Japan. 2011 2014 Elcometer open their new office in Houston, Texas. Elcometer purchase adjoining site almost doubling the production space to 10,730m² (115,500 sq.ft.). 2016 2017 Elcometer open their new office in Dubai, UAE. Elcometer moves to their new 6700m 2 (22,000 sq ft) North American Headquarters, Warren, MI, USA. 2018 1979 Elcometer opens an office in the USA. 1985 Elcometer opens an office in Germany. 1989 Elcometer opens an office in Singapore.
