Pond Providing Complete Solutions for Clients Across the World Pond, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, was recently named ENR's Southeast Design Firm of the Year, and is a technology-driven full-service engineering, architecture, planning, and construction management firm providing design solutions to government and private sector clients worldwide. With 24 locations throughout the U.S. and over- seas, Pond is one of the fastest growing A/E/C firms in the country. Pond's Asset Integrity group consists of dedicated integ- rity and corrosion professionals changing the way integrity and corrosion engineering services are performed and pre- sented to stakeholders. Our solution-driven approach dif- ferentiates Pond from others since we take the time to listen and generate sensible, engineering-based solutions. Pond's engineering and construction professionals are experienced in providing solutions to address integrity and corrosion-related challenges. Through critical analysis, driven research, unparalleled experience, and vast in-house technical expertise, Pond provides state-of-the-art integrity and corrosion consultation. Cathodic Protection Our industry experts have successfully completed hun- dreds of cathodic protection system designs involving gas distribution, fuel storage tanks, plant piping, as well as extensive gas/liquid transmission pipelines and complex marine structures. Pond combines our unique, practical experience with unequalled, in-depth, objective research to provide our clients with highly detailed, superbly generated deliverables. We can execute all phases of direct assessment—pre- assessment, indirect inspection, direct examination, and post assessment. With highly experienced pipeline crews, Pond performs close interval surveys (CIS), direct current voltage gradient (DCVG) surveys, and alternating current voltage gradient (ACVG) surveys to determine the integrity of exist- ing CP systems, as well as external pipeline coating integrity. Survey team leads are supported by experienced field crews who compile data into a useable tool. All field data is reviewed by a NACE CP4 Cathodic Protection Specialist. Integrity Management Pond integrity engineers are highly trained to identify potential damage mechanisms and apply the proper meth- odology to adequately characterize and evaluate an asset for continued integrity. This is especially helpful when devel- oping inspection strategies and plans to maintain compli- ance and asset integrity. Pond employs numerous integrity engineers with specialized experience in all types of inspec- tions over multiple industries. Pond not only inspects but provides the client with a start to finish solution for asset integrity. AC Mitigation To protect operating personnel and the public from haz- ards often encountered on pipelines routed within high voltage AC corridors, NACE SP0177-2007 recommends mitigation to under 15 volts AC. Pond has completed numer- ous AC mitigation design and installation projects through- out the U.S. with stellar positive feedback from our business partners. All designs are performed in-house utilizing the SES right-of-way modeling software. Coatings All specifications and data analyses are performed by in-house NACE and SSPC Protective Coatings Specialists and Inspectors. At Pond, we're creating the next generation of corrosion engineering consulting solutions within our industry. Our corrosion professionals can provide solutions to address any corrosion-impacted requirement.
