Anue Water Technologies (Tucker, Geor- gia, USA) was selected as the exclusive distributor of Pi2 Technologies' Geo- Membrane products for the entire United States, Canada, and the Caribbean region. The water technologies company describes itself as the leading manufac- turer of high-efficiency ozone and oxygen generation and related systems for the elimination of odor, corrosion, and fat, oil, equipment, while greatly reducing labor touch and U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) (Washing- ton, DC, USA) risks. AZZ Acquires Powder Coating, Electroplating Firm AZZ, Inc. (Fort Worth, Texas, USA), a global provider of metal coating services, welding solutions, specialty electrical equipment, and highly engineered services to the power generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial markets, has acquired all the assets and outstanding shares of privately held K2 Partners, Inc. (Tampa, Florida, USA). K2 provides pow- der coating and electroplating services to customers in the U.S. Midwest and South- east regions from locations in Texas and Florida. Through the acquisition, the company gains the powder coating operations of Centrix Powder Coating in Tampa, as well as the powder coating and electroplating operations of Cimcon Finishing in Gar- land, Texas, USA. The acquisition increases the company's metal coatings network of plants to 44 sites in the United States and Canada. St. Paul Foundry Unveils Corrosion Resistance Database St. Paul Foundry (St. Paul, Minnesota, USA), a manufacturer of brass, bronze, and aluminum cast components, has launched a new online corrosion-resistance data- base for copper-based castings. This online tool enables casting designers to identify and compare over 3,500 combina- tions of alloys and corrosive chemicals. While many casting designers recognize the value of brass and bronze castings for highly corrosive applications, they may not know which alloy is right for their par- ticular project, explains James Hartigan, engineering manager. But with the Found- ry's online database, they can "quickly and grease (FOG) in municipal and indus- trial wastewater systems. The technology consists of high-strength membranes fit- ted with pockets that contain replaceable filter media, custom engineered to fit each application and ensure broad-spectrum odor control. The products can be used in practically any application, including headworks, tanks, sludge pits, open channels, vessels, manhole covers, truck bays, vertical vents, and fugitive emissions from vent covers. The technology was commercialized in 2011 and is currently being used in 11 countries by major companies and munic- ipalities. This includes use in industrial, municipal, and food and beverage applica- tions, with available case histories from each segment, according to company offi- cials. The filters are designed to remove all odors, including those from difficult sul- fides and ammonia. The system eliminates the need for costly chemicals or scrubber Tnemec Acquires ProPolymer Coatings Architectural and industrial coat- ings manufacturer Tnemec Com- pany, Inc.
