The new facility provides project manage- ment and engineering services for current and future capital projects, says Clariant's North American Region Head Kenneth Golder. The Engineering Center is part of the Clariant Global Engineering and Tech- nology organization, which provides proj- ect management, complex engineering, and chemical process expertise required for retrofits, new lines, and new plants. Charlie Skeen, who has held engineering and manufacturing positions in the chemi- cal industry for 24 years, has been named head of the center. His previous experience includes Maverick Technologies, Dow Chemical Co., and Rohm and Haas. Skeen earned a master's degree in chemical engi- neering from the University of Louisville. nia. Titan Acquires Advanced Striping Equipment, Inc. Titan (Minneapolis, Minnesota), a pro- vider of professional-grade sprayers and application equipment, announced the ac- quisition of Advanced Striping Equipment, Inc. (ASE). Based in Douglasville, Georgia, ASE manufactures specialized road-mark- ing equipment including thermoplastic walk-behind machines, intermediate stripers, and truck-mounted units. "ASE's thermoplastic equipment is a natural ex- tension to Titan's line of pavement mark- ing systems and will help accelerate our growth on a global basis," says Greg McGuirk, senior vice president of sales for Titan. "By combining ASE's technology and its leadership team's industry exper- tise with Titan's sales, service, and market- ing resources, we will provide even stronger solutions to the industry."
