34 MAY 2015 MATERIALS PERFORMANCE NACE INTERNATIONAL: VOL. 54, NO. 5 wel l-di stri but ed . Measurem ent results show all the piles are well protected. Results of Anode Inspections Anodes were installed by underwater welding. Ninety anodes were checked by a diver, with 62 installed on 31 piles of the wharf platform and 28 installed on 14 piles of the trestle bridge. Of the 90 anodes, it was found that one anode had been lost from each of two piles in the wharf plat- form, while all other inspected anodes were well welded to the steel tubular piles. Conclusions The sacrificial anode CP system for the steel tubular piles was functioning properly and effectively after five years of operation, and CP potentials met the desired crite- rion. Of the 90 anodes checked, only two anodes had been lost and the others were solidly welded to the steel tubular piles.
