(Cincinnati, Ohio), a leading business strategy firm in specialty chemicals, and The Industrial Development Authority of Halifax County, Virginia, announce an agreement on terms to incorporate the National Center for Coatings, Application, Research, & Educa- tion (C-CARE) (South Boston, Virginia) into the newly formed ChemQuest Tech- nology Institute. The state-of-the-art facil- ity was designed to provide coatings sup- pliers the ability to test their products in a controlled environment that replicates a range of production conditions. The appli- cations laboratory incorporates a wide selection of technologies, including six- axis robotics; electrostatic and wet spray ; flat and hang lines; and infrared, ultra- violet, and convection curing. Also included is an automobile-sized cross- ventilated spray booth suitable for robotic or manual equipment. As part of the agreement, The Chem- Quest Group, Inc., through The Chem- Quest Technology Institute, will be add- ing formulary and analytical laboratories and expanding services to support spe- cialty chemicals clientele in paints, coat- ings, adhesives, sealants, plastics, inks, personal care, and more.
