NACE Foundation's Casino Night attracted 150 conference attendees who spent the evening enjoying a variety of casino games. At the end of the evening, guests at Casino Night were able to cash in their poker chips for the opportunity to win some great prizes. Saturday, March 5, 2016 Sunday, March 6, 2016 Northern Lights & Bites To start off the Canadian experience, NACE Northern Area's Atlantic Canada, British Columbia, Calgary, Canadian National Capital, Edmonton, and Toronto Sections sponsored the Northern Lights & Bites event on Saturday, which welcomed hundreds of attendees to Vancouver with live entertainment, Canadian appetizers, and beverages. Once again, attendees had the opportunity to participate in the NACE Foundation's annual NACE Race on Sunday morning, a tradi tion that has entered into its third decade. The Foundation also brought something new to CORROSION this year by hosting Casino Night Vancouver. To provide attendees with practical tips on how to reduce or avoid problems with coatings that lead to untimely failures, Mike O'Brien with Mark 10 Resource Group, Inc. again presented his lecture, "How to Avoid Premature Coating Failures." A longstanding tradition at NACE annual conferences, this practical, informative, threehour tutorial focused on the numerous failure investigations O'Brien has conducted during his 35 years in the coatings industry.
