Specific additions to AI's sur- vey accessory catalog include test canes and survey probes, along with trays and backpacks specifically designed for the company's Allegro Field Data PC tool. Inter- nal corrosion products from MSES, includ- ing test kits, coupons, and a range of analyt- ical services, were not included in the acquisition. Elcometer SA (Manchester, United King- dom) is moving its sales, service, and repair center to a new, purpose-built office in Awans, Belgium. Elcometer, a global com- pany involved in the manufacture and sale of coating inspection instruments, physical test equipment, and ultrasonic nondestruc- tive test products, says the new center will offer technical advice, sales support, servic- ing, repairs, and product certification. The new office at Rue Jean Lambert Defrene in Awans will be open from Monday through Friday. New President for Carboline Appointed RPM Performance Coatings (Township, New Jersey), a strategic operating unit of RPM International (Medina, Ohio), announced that Christopher D. Tiernay assumed the position of president for its Carboline Co. (St. Louis, Missouri) subsid- iary. Carboline is a recognized brand in the protective and industrial coatings market, and the company is a global supplier of coatings, linings, and fireproofing. As presi- dent, Tiernay will be responsible for direct- ing the organization's growth while ensur- ing profitable operations and maintaining Carboline's culture and commitment to customers, affiliates, partners, and employ- ees. Tiernay has a distinguished career in industrial coatings and a deep understand- ing of the marketplace, Carboline says, add- ing that he has shown leadership in devel- oping effective teams. Tiernay is relocating to St. Louis for the position. Prior to this role, Tiernay served as vice president of the North American protective coatings busi- ness for the International Paints brand of AkzoNobel (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). Greenkote Expands Anticorrosion Coatings Coverage High-performance, anticorrosion metal coatings provider Greenkote PLC (Brook Park, Ohio) announced the opening of a new facility in Shanghai, China that will provide its coatings to the Far East region. The new Greenkote licensee, Shanghai Premier Tension Control Bolts Co., Ltd. (SHTCB) (Shanghai, China), is a joint ven- ture comprised of Tension Control Bolts, Ltd. (TCB) (Wrexham, United Kingdom), Shanghai High Strength Bolts Plant, Ltd. (SHS) (Shanghai, China), and Shanghai Yan Yan Trading (Shanghai, China). The SHTCB venture has installed a full Greenkote coat- ing line with a capacity of 300 tons per month of parts, with officials noting that modern users in China are looking for fas- teners with higher levels of corrosion resis- tance. "We take great pride in the first-class coating providers that represent Greenkote around the globe," says Mark Gore, CEO of Greenkote.
