EN Engineering Opens New Office Energy engineering, consulting, and com- pliance services group EN Engineering (Warrenville, Illinois) recently opened a new office near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in an effort to better serve existing and future clients. The office in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, is located near existing gas utilities, pipelines, and electric distribution clients that the company already serves. In addition, the rapidly growing area offers a promising opportunity for market expan- sion, according to the company, which says it will be hiring engineering, drafting, and design professionals at the new location. The company also has 16 other locations around the country, with engineers licensed to practice in all 50 states. Global coatings leader AkzoNobel (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) opened a new, €11-million powder coatings facility in Chengdu, located in the Sicuan province in southwestern China. The new site will help to meet growing demand in the region and supply customers with a full range of pow- der products for industries, including auto- motive and construction. AkzoNobel now operates six powder coatings sites in the China region, while the company's sev- enth—the biggest powder coatings plant in the world—is currently being constructed in Changzhou. That plant is due to open in October 2017. Overall, the company cur- rently has more than 30 production sites in China.
