In Degan's address to the Chennai
forum, he mentioned skill development
programs organized by NACE all over the
world—including India—for coating appli-
cations, corrosion control in refining,
designing for corrosion control, offshore
corrosion assessment training, cathodic
protection, pipeline corrosion, marine
coating technology, nuclear power plant
training for coating inspectors, and water
treatment. Degan also highlighted several
areas in which the NACE Foundation is
helping and supporting students and
research scholars to perform projects and
academic studies related to corrosion.
A cultural program was conducted by
the NIGIS South Zone Student Section for
the occasion in Chennai, and the event
concluded with a dinner for participants,
NACE members, and their family
members.
The Chennai event was organized by
the NIGIS South Zone, while the Delhi pro-
gram was organized by the NIGIS North
Zone. The Mumbai festivities were led by

NACE Holds First Coating Inspector Program Courses
in Israel and Singapore

ACE International conducted its
first Coating Inspector Program
(CIP) course in Akko, Israel. Held
in May 2017, the Level 1 course was in-
structed by Phil Fouche and Mark
Terblanche. In April 2017, Fouche and
B. Chong instructed CIP Level 1 course in
Singapore. NACE holds courses all over the
world that cover corrosion control technol-
ogies for every industry and environment.
