Monday, April 16, 2018 Hundreds of Exhibits Showcased During Expo Grand Opening Younger Corrosion Professionals Meet at 30 Below At 5 p.m. on Monday, NACE President Samir Degan opened the Exhibit Hall and delegates flowed inside to check out the hundreds of technologies on display. This year's exhibition included close to 700 booths and 420 exhibiting companies, At the 30 Below event, younger corrosion professionals (under 30 years old) continued their Monday evening networking activities. To recognize the regional culture in Arizona, the Expo Grand Opening featured dancing that honors the unique spirit of Native Americans through traditional Apache dance and champion hoop dancers. with 77 new exhibitors. By the opening ceremony, nearly 5,500 attendees had regis- tered for CORROSION 2018. "This is my favorite part of the event every year," NACE CEO Bob Chalker told the hundreds of delegates standing just outside the entrance, waiting for the hall to open. "Seeing the faces and people ready to enter the Exhibit Hall, it's just a fantas- tic event. It's on track to be another great year, and we thank you for all your support.
