The 2013 MP Readers' Choice Corrosion Innovation of the Year Awards n 2013, Materials Performance magazine continued its Readers' Choice Corrosion Innovation of the Year Awards to provide a forum where members of the worldwide corrosion-control community could showcase innovative corrosion mitigation technologies. The program marked its second year with a total of 47 innovations from 12 countries, nominations that represent groundbreaking advances in coatings and linings, cathodic protection, materials I and design, instrumentation, testing, integrity assessment, chemical treatments, and other corrosion prevention and mitigation technologies. The application of corrosion control technologies could save more than US$660 billion, inspiring scientists, researchers, chemists, engineers, and other professionals around the globe in the corrosion-control industry to create revolutionary solutions to combat corrosion and protect vital assets from its damaging effects. The MP Corrosion Innovation of the Year Awards showcase progressive technological developments in all aspects of corrosion prevention and mitigation and recognize the innovators who strive to protect people, assets, and the environment from the effects of corrosion. We invite individuals, companies, organizations, and government agencies worldwide to submit nominations for the 2014 awards. The top corrosion-control innovations will be chosen by a panel of leading corrosion experts and announced at CORROSION 2014 in San Antonio, Texas.
