CTS recently opened a branch offce in Qatar; offces in North Africa and the Caspian will follow during 2013. C orrosion Technology Services (CTS) was formed from a management buyout of the Middle East assets of Corrpro Companies, Inc. and is now established in its own right as a global cathodic protection (CP) company. The CTS Group consists of eight companies spread across fve countries and three regions—the Middle East, Europe, and India. "Our mission is to maintain market share and a reputation for high quality in established markets while growing our business in nontraditional markets including Iraq, North and East Africa, and Central Asia," says Steve Wroe, managing director of CTS Group. While the majority of CTS clients remain in the Middle East, CTS has completed projects from South America to Australia. The frm's CP, civil, and electrical engineers have tackled complex evaluations of defective CP systems in plants and on pipelines. "The benefit of working in such diverse environments is that our engineers have gained valuable experience in extreme climates. From the blazing heat of the Middle East to the humidity of South America, we've dealt with the world's most aggressive environments," says Rod Callon, group technical director and general manager of the Saudi Arabia and Bahrain operations. In 2003, CTS acquired Pipeline Maintenance, Ltd. (PML, Ltd.), an established NACE International, Vol. 52, No. 5 Industry CTS companies primarily service the oil, gas, and utility industries. The CTS Concrete Integrity Division has completed some of the world's highestprofle projects relating to protection of steel in concrete. CTS provides complete pipeline integrity and CP services including specialized surveys, materials supply, design, installation, testing, and commissioning. The frm also provides long-term monitoring and maintenance for pipelines, well casings, and plants. CTS manufactures a wide range of equipment in-house, including power supplies and remote monitoring systems. Its Wilson Walton division provides specialized services to the marine industry for the Middle East.
